Nicolaj's container home
Nicolaj is 22 years old and studies a bachelor's degree in business economics and psychology at CBS. He lives in the popular area CPH village in a container home. In his container home, Nicolaj is not allowed to drill into either the walls or the ceiling, and he has therefore hung up his things in a different way than most people do. But it also gives Nicolaj some other opportunities when one's home is magnetic.
He has therefore used magnets to hang e.g. pictures, knife rail, shelves, caps up etc.
Watch the video and get inspiration for how you can be creative with magnets:
Picture hanger with magnets
Nicolaj has chosen to use magnets with external thread (Ø16 mm.). Here he has used 2 pcs. to hang a picture in his container home. It fits with the fact that they can sit in the frame. Nicolaj started by putting the magnets directly on the container wall and then used a spirit level to see if the picture would hang straight. The good thing about magnets is that Nicolaj can just move them around if he wants to correct the picture or wants the picture to hang in a completely different place.
Hanging shelves
In the magnetic home, Nicolaj has chosen to hang several shelves with magnets. The container home has height differences, so it can make it a bit of a challenge to get the shelves to hang level. Nicolaj has solved this by, for example, combining a hook magnet (Ø25 mm.) on one side and a magnet with external thread (Ø20 mm.) on the other side. Then at least his stuff doesn't fall down. How strong magnets you need depends of course on how much your shelf weighs and what will be on it.
Knife rail that falls down
Nicolaj had problems with the magnets in the knife rail not being strong enough to hang on the wall or hold his knives. He therefore reinforced it with magnets with an external thread (Ø16 mm), which now keep the rail and the knives in place.
Towels and towels with magnets
Nicolaj has hung up his tea towels, towels and pot holders with our mini-max magnets in metal (4-pack). As you can see in the video, they give a very stylish look. Here you can also use e.g. a hook magnet or ludo maxi magnet. The most important thing is that the magnet you use can carry min. 2.5 kg. in direct motion.
Hook magnets for small things
In the home, Nicolaj has been smart with hook magnets in Ø10 mm., which he has used for e.g. his sunglasses, headsets and caps. You can easily do the same if you live in a container.
Nicolaj has used a lot of magnets to organize himself smartly. If you also live in a container and need guidance for your home, you are welcome to contact us.
