Danish designed Magnetic spheres
We have received many requests for NeoCubes, so we decided to create our own magnetic spheres, called MagBalls, which are both better and cheaper. We stand 100% behind them, as they are our own design.
Thoroughly tested magnetic spheres
They have been developed and tested over several years to create the best magnetic spheres. Not only in terms of strength but also in colors and durability – meaning how much impact they can withstand. Because ours are stronger than Neo Cubes and Zen Balls, you may experience some peeling of the coating over time – mainly the colored shell, not the magnet itself. However,
this is common with all magnetic spheres after prolonged and vigorous use. Our coating is still more resilient than any others we have tested on the market.
Zen Balls – stress-relieving
It’s not by chance that the balls are nicknamed Zen Balls. If you’re rolling the magnets between your fingers, it can be calming (and more pleasant for those around you than, for example, clicking a pen or rolling a bead bracelet!).
Difference between magnets and magnetic balls?
What is the difference between magnets and MagBalls? You can definitely use these magnetic balls to hang a few pieces of paper on the fridge, but they are not as powerful as our power magnets. Additionally, they are designed for ‘playing’ with, featuring a stronger coating compared to our power magnets. This makes them easier to build with than regular magnets, and they withstand bumps better. So, if you’re looking for small, inexpensive refrigerator magnets, you can certainly use NeoCubes for this.
What can you build with NeoCubes?
If you can imagine it, you can build it! Maybe not as beautifully as you imagine, but practice makes perfect.
You can build any shapes with magnets, as long as you consider that the balls are magnetic; if you place the magnets very close to each other, they will attract. Therefore, it can be advantageous to use a magnetic surface (such as a magnetic board or a refrigerator) if you want to write or draw with these magnets. Think of the possibilities: It could be a heart or ‘fridge poetry.’ But a square or a tower just needs a flat surface it can stand on.
Examples of what we have created in the office with MagBalls:
- Square
- Ball
- Hand
- Tube
- House
- Star
- Snail
- Snake
Make your magnetic balls roll by themselves
If you’re up for a challenge, you can actually make the magnets move themselves using magnetism.
Arrange your MagBalls in a single line, then take hold of one end (approximately 15 balls) and form it into a loop around the line of magnets, creating a ‘loop’ and lift it up. Give it a gentle push towards the line of magnets, and you’ll be able to make the magnets roll together into a long tube. It’s quite fascinating, and once you figure it out, it can be addictive – consider yourself warned!
We regularly upload videos featuring fun magnetic ball creations so you can get inspired. If you’re up for more advanced builds, there are plenty of find on YouTube as well.
We carry the magnetic balls in various colors. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the product.
