We receive many inquiries about magnetic solutions for radiator covers and other enclosures to neatly hide things like IT equipment or water pipes - while still making it easy to remove the cover when needed.
The drawing above illustrates how you can do it.
Make Your Own Magnetic Radiator Cover Solution
If you’re a bit handy, you can easily create an elegant solution using magnets—allowing you to install your radiator cover without drilling into the wall or window frame.
The challenge with attaching magnets directly to the radiator (which is magnetic) is the heat: magnets lose their magnetism at high temperatures. The best solution is to attach magnets to the radiator cover (the front panel) and combine them with metal discs on the frame or wall (the back panel).
If you only have a window sill, don’t worry! You can: Attach a small wooden strip to the sill and screw the metal pieces onto it. Or, attach an L-bracket made of magnetic steel—this will serve as the counterpart for the magnets, so you won’t need separate metal pieces.

We can either: Guide you through the process so you can find the best solution for your home, or recommend a skilled craftsman if you prefer not to handle the installation yourself.
