Description
Description
Large ferrite magnet with steel pot. This magnet has a strenght of approx. 36 kg. in direct pull. Perfect for making outdoor signs magnetic on the back.
Ferrite magnets are often used outdoors, and this magnet has a screw hole for countersunk screws M8 (8.5 mm).
There are two clear advantages to choosing a ferrite pot magnet:
- Ferrite can be used outside
- Ferrite is a cheaper alternative to neodymium
Ferrite magnets can endure direct sunlight and they don't rust despite the weather. But you need to be aware that the steel pot kan get a thin layer of rust - this does not affect the magnetism though.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Diameter: 6 cm.
Height: 15 mm.
Screw hole: ø 8.5 mm. (M8)
Strenght: approx. 36,000 g.
Magnetism: Y30BH
Steel-pot: Q235
Max. temperature: 50°C
In addition to making the magnetic field more powerful, the steel pot also holds the ferritemagnet together. This hardens the magnet - and should the ferrite part crack by accident, the magnet is still intact and takes no damage (only visually).
The strength of the is measured on a thick magnetic steel plate with a direct pull.
Although this is a very strong magnet, ferrite pot magnets are not suitable for glass boards. They are very heavy and the steel pot makes them slipery.
