Customer service: children and magnets

We often get questions in the mail about things that cannot be answered with a short standard answer. Here, for example, a question from a customer about using a glass board for a child, and at the bottom of the page you will see our answer to the customer.

Questions about glass boards for children

Two: Magnetz.dk< br>Subject: Notice board

Hi,

I have a notice board with glass at the front so you can write on it, and metal at the back so it's magnetic.

Really strong magnets are needed for them to be used on the board. Now I want to buy some magnets for the board - do you have an idea of how strong they should be?

I am going to make pictograms for a child. Can print and laminate them yourself. Which high strength magnets can I buy and stick on?

Thanks in advance.

Our response to the customer

Thanks for your message. We have many magnets for glass boards, but if the pictograms are to be used on a daily basis with your child, we would not advise you to use a glass board for this. It's too dangerous for children's fingers because you need some very powerful magnets. And if it's a small child, there are also big consequences for swallowing these magnets.

Instead, consider a combination of whiteboard or steel board with magnetic pockets.

If you still want to use the glass board, you can see all options here : magnets for glass boards . However, we must educate you about the dangers of this when it has to do with children. So it's not because we don't want to sell you anything. We just get nervous about "children" and "magnets" in the same sentence.

Many greetings
