Description

This type of magnet is strong. It is a white neodymium pot magnet with a rubber coating and M6 internal threads.

Every magnet is made with N and S poles in turns. Therefore, two magnets can catch one another directly from the same side.

Diameter: 6.6 cm.
Height: 0.85 cm.
Thread: M6
Strength: approx. 25 kg.

This type of magnet can be used with an M6 bolt or hook/screw that has an M6 matching thread.

This magnet is larger than our 45mm (about 1.77 inches) magnet and it is more responsive than its little brother. The intended purpose of this type of magnet would be for projects where more surface contact is needed to hold against when items need to be hung up: more surface points equal an effective bond. In addition, this type of magnet is slimmer, to help better fit into flatter openings. This type of magnet is often used for container signs with a magnetic backside.

The thread on this magnet is continuous, so you have the option of driving a screw all the way through the rubber coating. You can also fully penetrate a screw even if the rubber coating is closed at the other end. This will ensure better coverage of the rubber on the magnet and help secure the magnet in place.

NOTICE: Even though it has rubber coating, we do not recommend using this size magnet on glass boards. As an alternative, we suggest you place a strong magnet behind the glass board to provide better magnetism strength if you need to hang something heavy on the glass board.

This type of magnet is sold in pieces. However, we provide discounts for bulk purchases which can be found on the right.

SPECIFICATIONS:
Strength: approx. 25,000 g.
Magnetism: N38
Material: NdFeB
Steel thread: Q235
Coating: Rubber
Temperature max.: 80°C
Magnet type: Neodymium

The bearing capacity for this type of magnet is measured directly on a strong magnetic steel plate made of pure steel. It must be noted that the further the rubber magnet is from the magnetic surface, the more the carrying capacity weakens.

To achieve the strongest pull we recommend the magnet be used on a horizontal surface. But, due to the rubber coating, this type of magnet will not slide as easily as other magnets without the rubber coating.

This type of magnet can be used outdoors, but the steel threads may rust over time with permanent outdoor usage. We suggest using thread protective products if you want to minimize tread rust buildup.

Rubber magnet (white) with internal threads, 66mm (about 2.6 in).
