Very strong, white rubber magnet with external steel thread (M4).

The magnet itself is made of N42 type neodymium magnets and is used as a magnetic bolt.

This magnet is larger than Ø31 mm., but since a magnet of this diameter and height will be too fragile, it is assembled from smaller magnets in a metal shell with a rubber coating on it. And therefore it has approx. same strength as the smaller Ø31 mm.

As one of very few magnets, this pot magnet can be used directly against a similar pot magnet on the other side, as the small magnets inside have alternating north and south poles outwards . You will therefore be able to use 2 of these magnets on top of each other.

You can screw the magnet together with magnet types with internal M4 thread, or you can use an M4 nut.

The carrying capacity of the 10 kg. is measured directly on a strong, magnetic steel plate made of pure steel. Distance between magnet and magnetic counterpart (magnet or magnetic surface) weakens the carrying capacity. A distance of 2 mm. weakens the bearing capacity by approx. 70%, while a distance of 5 mm. weakens the carrying capacity by as much as 92%. 

This type of magnet can be used outdoors, but the steel thread can rust over time with permanent outdoor use.

The rubber magnet withstands wind and weather well, which is why it is ideal to use this magnet outdoors. However, you should know that the external thread is not made of stainless steel, which is why it can rust over time if it is not wrapped.
