A magnetic rod is magnetic at the ends. It is therefore easier to get down again compared to a flat magnet. You get 1.6 kg. in strength at the ends. But you also achieve high strength from the sides of the bar magnet, albeit with a division of north and south poles axially (if you are looking for pole faces on the sides, you should instead look for a magnet with diametric pole division).

This size magnet is the perfect example of how much you can get out of a small magnet by increasing the N value with a density of N48. In comparison, our 6x10mm. bar magnet only a strength of 1.4 kg. but because it has a lower value of N40. But the longer a magnet is, the more fragile it becomes, and therefore it makes good sense to lower the density for longer magnets. But this small magnet has reached a strength of 1.6 kg, even though it is less than 1 cm. in length.

Can be used on Chatboards but not on cheap glass boards. Therefore, we have not included it with a general recommendation for glass boards. Please contact us before purchasing magnets for glass boards, so that you get the right strength. For a magnet with a strength of less than 2 kg. does not hold much more than himself about perhaps a piece of paper on glass boards. They only perform fully when in direct contact with a metal or other magnetic surface.
