Two magnets are most easily separated by sliding them in opposite directions. And they are most easily removed from a magnetic surface (e.g. a steel board or whiteboard) by pushing them out to the side, beyond an edge if possible.

Magnets of this strength can be used on glass boards with the utmost caution if you are looking for magnets that are very strong. But you must be aware that they can be very difficult to handle if you use more than 1 magnet on the glass board: 2 magnets colliding with each other will shatter, as it happens at very high speed.
