This magnet is called a hook magnet even though it is different from the usual hook magnets or magnets with a closed eye hook.

It is often used for magnet fishing and for hanging things from the ceiling on a metal frame (such as lamps).

The strength is an impressive 39 kg. in a straight line. This means that you achieve the maximum strength with a vertical pull compared to an indirect or horizontal pull on the magnet.

Indirect pulls give a strength of approx. 75% less than with direct pull.

The hook magnet is only magnetic at the bottom (opposite the carabiner).

Note that the pot is made of stainless steel. If you are using the hook for fishing or use it in wet environments, remember to dry it off after every use to avoid rust for as long as possible. However, rust does not affect the strength - only the appearance.

We do not recommend using this magnet on glass boards, as careless use can damage the glass board.
