Description
Description
Round metal balls in a bag of 10. The metal balls are magnetic but are not magnets themselves. They are used together with magnets as "links" or for when you have to experiment with magnetism - e.g. make a gauss gun. Can also be used as balls for ball frames and magnetic games.
These are not magnets!
The metal balls are also called metal spheres.
You can make some pretty cool things when you put bar magnets along with these steel balls.
Made from high carbon chromium steel containing 1% carbon and 0.5%-1.65% chromium.
SPECIFICATIONS
Diameter: ø12.7 mm.
Material: chrome steel
Surface: nickel-plated (Ni-Cu-Ni)
You can get metal balls in different sizes here at Magnetpartner.com. As you can see in the photos, you can do various experiments with the metal balls together with a magnet. And you can also put together different sized magnetic balls - the magnetism goes straight through and binds the metal balls together, while they are put together with a magnet.
NOTE! The exact size of these magnets is 12.7mm. in diameter (almost Ø13).
