Work smarter and faster with a MagJig 235. This MagSwitch gives you up to 98 kg. strength on metal surfaces - just the extra hand you often lack in the workshop when you have to hold something and need both hands for the work itself.
Often used for welding and woodworking. Simply turn the handle at the top to on/off to activate/deactivate the magnet. And when it's on, it doesn't just move straight. A haul of 98 kg. (217 lbs.) cannot be moved around alone. So you will really love the mechanism of being able to turn the magnetism on and off on your MagJig 235. It is activated/deactivated by turning the knob. But you will need 2 hands if you have not fixed it in e.g. a piece of wood: one hand to hold around the magnet (the lower steel part) and one hand to turn the handle with to activate/deactivate the magnet.

It is not about electromagnetism but about a magnet in a "piston" , where on provides direct contact with the magnet, while off creates a distance so that the magnet has no effect. You can easily make a system yourself, but this is the easy and durable solution used by professionals. And your MagJig 95 can also withstand very large temperature fluctuations, which you cannot achieve with a permanent magnet without protection.
You can see in one photo that there is a rounding at the bottom of this MagJig. It is made to allow you to work on both round pipes and straight surfaces.
Can be advantageously attached to wooden blocks (see photos) by drilling a 56 mm. hole with a Forstner bit, standard 3/4".
