Description

Here you get a package to make your own door stopper, which you can screw in yourself.

It is a super easy and elegant solution.

The package consists of 2 parts:

  • 1 x rubber magnet with internal thread (ø29 mm.)
  • 1 x recessed metal plate (ø27 mm.)

NOTE: screws are not included with the package.

This door stopper package is suitable for a patio door or a door that opens from the inside. You can use it for a reasonably heavy door that needs to be held in place by a strong magnet. If you are in doubt about how heavy your door is and which solution is right for you, contact our customer service.

Customer Thue has used this solution for his terrace door and has been very satisfied. Read the case with him here

The magnet included in the package is a neodymium pot magnet with a rubber coating and internal thread.

The set can be used both indoors and outdoors. If you are going to use it outdoors, however, you must be aware that the steel thread in the magnet can rust over time, and the metal plate must be painted with a thin layer of varnish if it is to be used outdoors, so that it does not rust.

SPECIFICATIONS THE RUBBER MAGNET
Diameter: 2.9 cm.
Height: 0.85 cm.
Screw hole: M5
Load capacity: approx. 11 kg.
Steel thread: Q235
Magnetism: N42

Fits an M5 screw (machine screw or bolt). The thread is continuous, so you can screw a screw all the way through the rubber coating on the other side if necessary.

If you want to use an alm. screw, we can recommend a countersunk M3 screw, as it goes well through the thread but is not too big in the head, so that it does not stick out over the magnet. An M4 and M5 general. screw cannot go all the way through and give you a flat surface, which creates distance to the metal plate and thus less magnetism.

The bearing capacity is measured directly on a strong, magnetic steel plate made of pure steel. The further the rubber magnet comes from the magnetic surface, the more the carrying capacity weakens.

You achieve the strongest pull on a horizontal surface. But they don't slide as easily as magnets without a rubber coating.

You can use the magnet outdoors, but the steel thread can rust over time with permanent outdoor use.

The recessed metal plate is round with a recessed hole, so you can easily screw it into the door. Used as a counterpart to the rubber magnet.

SPECIFICATIONS METAL PLATE
Diameter: ø27 mm.
Height: 3 mm.
View hole: ø 5.5 mm.

You save 10% compared to buying the parts separately. So it pays to keep an eye on the collection packages from Magnetz.dk.
