Countersunk magnet 40x40x4 mm. (neodymium)
Details
Description
Description
Square neodymium magnet with 2 countersunk screw holes.
Size: 4x4 cm.
Height: 0,4 cm.
Screw holes: ø 4.5 mm. (x2)
Length between screw holes: 20 mm.
Strength: approx. 16 kg.
You can fasten this magnet with 2 countersunk screws or bolts (not included) onto a piece of wood or surface that is not magnetic. Once secured, the countersunk square magnet plate will provide you with a strong magnetic surface.
These magnets are fragile because they are not protected by a metal pot. However, when handled with care, not overtightened with the screws, and protected from repetitive bashing, these magnets can last a long time (magnetic force will decrease after +80 years).
The bearing capacity for the countersunk square neodymium magnet is measured in direct pull, using a thick magnetic steel plate. IMPORTANT! The carrying capacity of the magnet will weaken the further the magnet is from its magnetic counterpart.
If you need to hang an item that will require indirect tension (opposite direction of the magnet), you need a magnet with a carrying capability of at least 4-8 times greater than the overall weight of the item to be hung. The specific calculation will vary for each project. Therefore, feel free to contact us for guidance and calculation assistance to ensure you purchase the correct magnet for your project.
This magnet is not intended for outdoor use. Prolonged outdoor usage will cause rust to develop.
ATTENTION! You cannot take two (2) of these magnets and place them opposite one another. These magnets polarity face the same direction and will result in the magnets repelling each other. If you need to place magnets opposite one another, we suggest a matching size neodymium magnet (power magnet) or a piece of metal to counter the countersunk power magnet.
