Grey blackboard varnish from Skovgaard and Frydensberg.
Range: approx. 1.3 m2 at 3 layers.
Make a blackboard with varnish and write with chalk on the finished board. Can be used on all clean, dry surfaces.
Use regular chalk on the surface.
Colour: gray (see photo for color chart).
There are many options with gray chalkboard paint, for example:
- Blackboard in the kitchen on the wall or a kitchen cabinet for meal plans and sweet messages,
- A blackboard in the living room for weekly plans, to-do lists and funny quotes
- An entire wall in the children's room for chalk drawings.
Do you need the blackboard to be magnetic? Then you can combine the blackboard paint with magnetic paint.

SPECIFICATIONS:
The gray chalkboard varnish is based on alkyd and can bind to all dry, grease-free surfaces. Remember to use a primer if you are painting on a raw and unsaturated surface (e.g. brick or unpainted felt).
Blackboard varnish must be applied in 3 layers, if not painted with e.g. magnetic paint beforehand. The more layers you paint with, the smoother the surface you will get on the finished surface.
Use a brush, roller or spraye nozzle to apply the varnish. Thin out the blackboard varnish with a little turpentine if you think it is too thick or difficult to paint with.
Drying time between each layer: 12 hours.
Recommended number of layers: 3 layers.
If you are painting somewhere with high humidity, we recommend that you let it dry an additional 8 hours between each layer.
You get the best results by letting the finished board dry for 5-7 days before writing on the board with chalk, so that the varnish is set completely.
NOTE! Liquid chalkboard paint must never be poured down the sewer drain, and it must be kept out of the reach of children.
