Cone magnets - Neodymium
This is our category with cone shaped magnets. This type of neodymium magnet has a small and a large side: this can be great if you want a better grip with the large side, or if you want to hang up magnet thing on the smaller side to be able to get a better grip of your hanging items because of the distance created by the cone shape and the firm grip of the larger side. You can read all about magnetism, strength etc. on each product card below.
A cone shape is where one surface is much wider than the other. You can see the shape better on each product card. The magnetic field lines are bundled on each flat side - the South pole is located on the big surface and the North pole on the small tip of the magnet.
Cone shaped magnets fit many purposes. Use them on a magnetic boards with the smaller side on the board for an easier grip on the strong magnets. Or place them in a cone shaped hole to make a non-magnetic item magnetic. Or how about making a knife magnet by placing the larger side on the fridge and hanging the knife on the smaller side? There are many options.
When you place the magnet with the small tip against a magnetic surface, e.g. hanging up papers on the fridge or whiteboard, the magnet is easier to grap and take off the surface again because the cone shape is formed as a sort of a handle.
If you turn the magnet around, using the biggest surface directly against metal or another magnet, it will be easyer to use the cone-shaped magnets for e.g. tools or knifes with a handle. The magnet will then not only give you the perfect space for grabbing the tools again with your hand easily: it will also stay in place on the magnetic surface instead of getting off along with your tool. But please note that it will be almost impossible to remove the magnets afterwards when attaching the large side of the cone magnets to a metal surface. You will need to slide the magnet to one side "besides an edge".
