As you can see in this picture, these Ø31 mm. magnets are made with 4 small magnets. The poles switch between N and S - so if you rotate the magnets a bit, they can both repel and attract another magnet of the same type.

Description

Small but strong pot magnet with a rubber cap and internal steel thread (M5).

The magnet itself is made of neodymium N42. The coating is made of white rubber.

Diameter: 3.1 cm.
Height: 0.6 cm.
Thread: M5

Screw this magnet on another magnet with treaded stud or use a normal screw or a M5 bolt.

The internal steel thread is continuous - you can screw all the way through the rubber coating eventhough the magnet is covered with rubber all the way on one side.

Can be used on magnetic glass boards - but keep in mind that a magnet with a strength of 8 kg. is a quite strong magnet. So be careful.

NB! You can place two of these white rubber magnets directly against each other as this model is made with 4 small magnets. This means that the magnets can both repel and attract another magnet of the same type; just rotate the magnet a bit to switch between repulsion and attraction.

The strenght of 8 kg. is measured in a direct pull with full metal contact. If you move the magnet away from the magnetic counterpart, the magnetic force will decrease by 70% at a 2 mm. distance and by 92% at a 5 mm. distance.

Made for indoor use as the steel thread is not made of stainless steel. But when used with a M5 bolt, it will not rust as easily as if the thread is bare.
