Technical drawing

Description

A strong cylindrical magnet with a hollow core. It is made of neodymium and has a nickel-plated surface.

The hollow core of this ring magnet measures 5 mm. (0.5 cm./0.2 inches). This magnet has been designed to allow you to pass a cable/wire, pipe, string, or rod through the hollowed core and create a magnetic surface. A practical feature if you decide you would like to hang up the cable/wire, pipe, or strong without drilling on your work surface. And ideal if you want to create a magnetic walking stick that will pick up metal shavings.

Diameter: 1.2 cm.
Height: 1.2 cm.
Hole size: Ø 0.5 cm.
Strength: approx. 4.4 kg.

Measurement: 1.2 x 0.5 x 12 cm. / 0.47 x 0.2 x 0.47 in.

To better assist you, we disclose our measurements in millimeters, centimeters, and inches. Our goal is to ensure that you choose the correct ring magnet size for your project.

This magnet has a 4.4 kg. (9.70 lbs.) carrying capacity. We calculate the carrying capacity using a straight-line. However, you will still get a strong indirect pull carrying capacity when compared to other competing magnets.

NB! The strength deteriorates by approximately 75% - 80% in an indirect pull, because the magnet is not placed in optimal working conditions. The same applies when a gap is placed between two (2) magnets or between a magnet and metallic surface. At a short distance of 2mm (0.08 in/0.2 cm), a drop of approximately 70% occurs to the magnet's magnetism.

The magnetism of these ring magnets is axial.
