Radiator cover with magnets

We get many requests for magnet solutions for radiator covers and other boxes to close e.g. IT equipment or water pipes inside in a neat way, but where you can easily remove the box again. 

We made this drawing which illustrates how: 

Make your own magnetic radiator cover solution

If you are a bit handy, you can easily make an elegant solution with magnets if you want to put up your radiator cover without having to drill into the wall or the frame.

The challenge with putting magnets directly on the radiator (which is magnetic) is the heat: magnets demagnetized by high heat. The best solution is therefore to attach magnets to the radiator cover (front plate) and combine with metal discs on the frame or wall (back plate).

If there is only one window frame, do not despair, because then you can choose to attach a strip to the frame to which you can screw the metal pieces. Or you can screw on an angle made of magnetic steel - then you already have the counterpart for the magnets there and do not need to use small magnetic metal pieces.
