Are you going to have a garden party in a tent? We have the good ideas when you have to hold a confirmation or wedding as a garden party. Because when you have to decorate your tent with garlands and light chains, it should ideally look nice and not just be a solution with ugly tape.

Lighting for tents

When you have to hang lamps and other lighting up in your garden tent, it is a really good idea to do it with magnets. The magnets can be hung directly on the poles in the tent and on the roof structure. It gives you, among other things, these advantages:

• Hang the lamps in a few minutes
• Can be done by 1 person
• No tools required
• No challenges with glue from the tape before and after
• The solution can be reused for the next party

When you make a solution with magnets for your lamps, it is done quickly because the magnets are attached magnetically to the steel poles in the tent. Therefore, neither screw machines nor tape guns must be used for hanging, and this also means that there is no need for more people to set it up (unless there are heavy things to be hung).

And finally, it is a bonus that you can use the magnets again the next time you hold a party in the garden and have to hang up lights as decorations.

Use hook magnets for the string of lights

A magnetic hook is the fastest (and often the nicest) solution: you simply attach the hook to the roof construction on one of the magnetic poles, and then you are ready to hang both lamp and cord neatly in the tent. This applies regardless of whether they are hanging lamps or light chains. LED tent lighting is also easy to set up

A party tent must of course be nicely decorated. IKEA has some really nice LED light strips that are great for party lighting and are easy to assemble. If you stick magnetic tape to the rails, they can sit neatly in a row both horizontally in the ceiling and vertically along the tent poles. And it's also an easy solution that can be used again and again and assembled by 1 person, so you can quickly finish decorating the party tent.

Hanging decorations on the tent cloth

Shouldn't you also decorate the walls of the tent now that you're at it? It's easy enough! Use rubber magnets.

Simply put a magnet on the outside & the inside of the tent: then you have a magnetic solution for your pictures, the menu, the balloons, the garland etc.

It is easiest to have 2 people for this, as the magnets must be on opposite sides of the tent cloth and hold around what is to be decorated with. The white rubber magnets are most used for this kind of decoration because they blend in with the white tent wall.

Advantages of rubber magnets outdoors

There are many advantages of rubber magnets outdoors, as they withstand water (does not rust) and they do not slide on smooth surfaces. And if you choose a rubber magnet with colored rubber, it can hardly be seen when you have to decorate.

If it is something that needs to be stripped, you can advantageously use the cable holder magnets, which also have a rubber coating (see below). And finally, there are the magnets with a carabiner, which can have things hanging - e.g. a lamp that must be able to move, or a wire that must be able to be moved around.
