Magnetic shelf fronts

It can be difficult to know which shelf fronts to use and how to arrange your warehouse most optimally. Here we will review some of the most used magnetic shelf edges, starting from our own stock, so that you can hopefully get inspiration for how you can do it yourself.

What can I use as magnetic shelf edges?

We recommend that you generally use magnetic pockets, magnetic strips and/or C-profiles as shelf fronts in your warehouse. They are all available in several different sizes, so there is something for every need.

Use magnetic pockets as shelf fronts

The magnetic pockets are quite flexible - and it is very easy to change your location number with a new one, as the pocket is open on either the long or short link. We have used the magnet pockets as location numbers for our ferrite magnets, as you can see in the picture:

Here we have used magnet pockets in 11x4.5 cm., as the shelf is quite wide. If you are looking for wide magnetic shelf edges, then magnetic pockets are what you need.

Flexible shelf edges with magnetic strips

Magnetic strips are also an option to use as shelf edges. In fact, we have used them as a location number, shelf number and to show which category it is. We have primarily used white magnetic tape in 10 mm.

You can see here how it looks with a magnetic shelf number in the warehouse:

The advantage of using magnetic tape is that you can cut it to the desired size . You can also write on it or stick a note on it. On some of our racks there is not much space for a location number and therefore magnetic tape has been a good solution. In the picture you can see how it looks when magnetic tape is used for a category:

Use C-profiles as shelf fronts

There are many (including ourselves) who are happy to use the C-profiles as magnetic shelf fronts. The C-profiles are made of a stronger material - and they are therefore firmly attached to your metal shelf. You can quite easily replace the paper insert, which sits inside behind the protective layer of plastic foil.

We have used them as shelf fronts for our magnetic balls. Here we have used C-profiler in the dimensions 80x30 mm. The C-profiles give the warehouse a very stylish and simple look. In the image below you can see how it looks:
