Magnetic ruler - make a magnetic ruler yourself
Magnetic rulers can be practical in many contexts - especially when you need the ruler to be flexible and can be stuck by itself magnetically.
Magnetic ruler for car damage
We are in the process of producing finished magnetic rulers with centimeter measurements, as many in the automotive industry need for such for everyday life. But until we're on target with production (we're very perfectionistic with measurements and strength!), you'll just get a trick on how you can make a magnetic ruler yourself that can measure the length of car damage - e.g. measurement of dents and scratches for the insurance company.
You will need:
- Magnetic tape (we used < a title="white magnetic tape 20 mm. is good for magnetic rulers" href="https://www.magnetz.dk/magnetbaand-hvidt-20-mm">20 mm. white)
< li>A permanent marker - A ruler
2 easy steps:
- Measure the magnetic tape and cut to the length you have need.
- Place a ruler on top of the magnetic tape and draw a large line for every centimeter and a small line for every 5 millimeters (photos 1 and 2).

White magnetic tapes are good for photos
You can use all colors and thicknesses of magnetic tape, but the white one is good for being able to see the black marker when you have to take photos of cars. Below are our white magnetic tapes and sheets, which are sold from 1 meter/piece:
