Magnetic pot sponge and dish brush

Use magnets in the kitchen sink

This time I've moved into the kitchen: I was tired of smelly dishwashing brushes sitting in the kitchen sink all day and never being able to find a sponge when I needed it. And as with everything else, I thought: what if I could hang it up with magnets?!

Make your own magnetic pot sponge and dish brush

I am too financially conscious to invest in the magnetic products on the market, because I change the dish brush and sponges often (due to bacteria). And now that you can reuse the magnets with a DIY solution… It turned out to be quite easy to make a magnetic pot sponge and a magnetic dish brush.

There are really many different dish brushes, so there must be you find a solution that best suits your favorite brush. But everyone knows the shape of a pot sponge, so here I show a trick with a very ordinary dish sponge, and you are welcome to imitate me.

Use a rubber magnet

You need:

It is important to use a rubber magnet, as it withstands water and impact. Cut the hole for the magnet as narrow as possible so that the magnet fits firmly inside the sponge - it must be pressed in without damaging the pan sponge. And cut close to the rough side.
